Just as Jesus pruned the righteous, sometimes you have to remove plants infected with insects to protect other healthy plants. It is true within each individual as well. Love God and God's people.
This morning, when I checked my mini garden. There are perfectly healthy plants that yield fruits abundantly. Still, in the other mini garden, because of the conditions and the not-so-healthy plants that are separated and put in there, the bacteria ate some of them. If I did not remove them, they would spread quickly to other plants, just as each bacterium carries its own ability to multiply. When I tried to remove the worst batch, it was an awakening moment; there were many ugly bacteria hidden in there that were just bad for that batch and for all, no use at all. Though on the surface some tiny seeds seem alive, offering hope of fruit, the Truth is, it takes forever to grow because they are infected, and when I investigate inside the soil, I see why: bacteria are more prominent than the soil itself. That is why. Clean your mind of qualities that are not healthy, which are the cause of suffering. Clean often, and once it is cleaned, keep them pure and healthy is easy, just like a garden full of healthy plants in perfect condition for them to thrive/ bloom. The perfect environment is like the good merit you earned in the past, nurturing your mind with the wisdom that works, and keeping it clean through the right meditation/ contemplation/ prayer is how you grow healthily every day, bodily, mentally, and spiritually. Love God and God's Light of Truth.
