This is how living lives are. It is law of Universe beyond race or gender. Everyone prefer pleasures and when you stop theirs, they are mad. The wisdom here is: as long as your pleasure does not cause any harm/sufferings to anyone; It is wholesome, but if it causes any sufferings for anyone against their will, it is unwholesome ( sin) . If your action is to remove wickedness, it is wholesome. If your action is wickedness itself, that is unwholesome and has consequences. God is just. Human/ living beings must be mindful on their thoughts/ speech/ and action for your unconscious/conscious unwholesome act has consequences. You are not completely free from sin, you really don't know that some of your behaviors/ believe are very wicked( not purity) itself and that causes your sufferings. Love God and God’d light.
